The Effects of Standing Desks on Task Performance and Engagement
Still unsure about whether a standing desk is right for you?
While we promote the benefits of both ergonomic chairs and their standing desk counterparts, this study goes deep into the actual science behind standing desks and their effects on productivity for office workers.
In sum, the study found that if you’re worried about sitting too much and want to try out a standing desk to improve your overall health, it won’t diminish your ability to perform normal workday tasks.
In fact, it might even boost performance, especially when standing for specific periods of around 30 min (which is why a sit-stand desk or converter makes sense).
