In Depth Review of the Lorell Executive High-Back Chair
Style and Materials Overview
The Lorell Executive High Back Chair is fitted in mesh fabric and the frame is made mostly of plastic polymer composite and metal. Mesh is a nice material, especially for those who need a little extra airflow because of high body temperature.
This chair is highly breathable and is conducive to long periods of sitting without the worry of becoming overheated. Plus, the seat cushion is constructed with a high-airflow style padding that adds to the comfort levels of this chair.
When it comes to style, we like the Lorell High Back Executive Chair, but we don’t necessarily love it.
To us, it looks like another run-of-the-mill office chair, and to be honest, that’s what it really is. The Lorell blends in with the crowd and doesn’t really compare to the style of, for instance, the HON Ignition Series.
That being said, for the price tag of this model, it’s about what’d you expect. A kind of boring looking office chair that is surprisingly comfortable and has a lot of ergonomic and adjustability features.

Comfort and Ergonomics
The Lorell High Back Exec Chair has several ergonomic features coupled with a decent ergonomic design. While it’s not a top of the line ergonomic mesh chair, it certainly has the features that make it a slightly above average office chair in this price range.
For starters, the high back and built-in lumbar system provides proper spinal support.
In addition to the ergonomic design, this chair has several adjustable functions, so you should be able to find just the right fit for your body type.
Here’s what can be adjusted on this high-back model: the armrests, height, seat cushion angle, and seat back angle.
One of the nicer parts of this office chair is the seat cushion adjustability mechanism.
It can be set into a position that promotes better circulation, which in turn leads to more energy throughout the day. Did you know that poor circulation can lead to fatigue? You won’t have to worry about that with the Lorell Executive High Back office chair!

All you need is 5 minutes and a measuring tape to prevent a potentially devastating event — your office chair not fitting in your space.

Lifetime Value and Warranty Info
Lorell does a great job of providing easy-to-find warranty information. Throughout all of our reviews, this is actually one of the easier warranties we’ve had the pleasure of tracking down.
To save you the trouble of looking, here’s a link to the Lorell product warranty page. It’s pretty lengthy, however much more ensuring than a lot of other office chair warranties out there. Knowing that a company stands behind its products is reassuring – especially on higher ticket items.
When it comes to lifetime value, a lot of customers say that this chair stands the test of time.
Check out the customer reviews on Amazon to see for yourself. We find the Lorell High-Back Executive Computer chair to be of pretty high quality. In our professional opinion, this one was built to last.
Overall Consensus of the Lorell Executive High-Back Chair
Overall, we like the Lorell Executive High-Back office chair, we just don’t particularly love it.
Don’t get us wrong – it’s a solid chair, and if it checks all the boxes for you, you should go ahead and buy it. We just think there are better ones out there, say the Office Factor Executive for example.
It has all of the ergonomic features you could ask for in this price range. Plus, it’s fairly comfortable, has a better than average warranty, and is made by a fairly well-known office furniture manufacturer.
All of the indicators lead to this being a great office chair, but again, there’s something about it to our team that just doesn’t hit home. Overall, it’s good. Not great, but good. If you’re looking for an average every day chair, the Lorell Executive High-Back Chair will suit your needs.
To wrap it up, here’s a high level pro/con list of the Lorell High-Back executive swivel desk chair:
- Has several adjustability functions including: armrests, tilt, height and seat angle
- High back design and lumbar support gives decent spinal and posture support
- Made from a breathable mesh material
- Padded seat cushion for added comfort and support
- Weight limit is ~250lbs, but feels like it holds less
- Average style and looks
