From a high back design and adjustable settings to plush cushioning and padded armrests, there are many ergonomic comfort factors involved with this office chair.
The high back design on this office chair is made with a slight S. This design contours to the natural curvature of your spine and promotes healthy posture. Plus, the lower back has a slight lumbar protrusion giving your back the intelligently placed support it needs.
The adjustable settings on this AmazonBasics office chair are somewhat limited. You can adjust the height, tilt tension and there’s even a tilt lock. One big drawback is the lack of ability to adjust armrests in any facet. Although most leather office chairs don’t allow for armrest adjustability, it’s still kind of a bummer this one doesn’t either. It’s not the end of the world, however we figured we should mention it.
What’s really nice about this office chair is the plush cushioning placed all around the chair – even on the armrests. Hard plastic armrests are pretty terrible and armrests cushions are often overlooked. No need to worry about uncomfortable arms with the AmazonBasics High Back Executive office chair.

The AmazonBasics High-Back Executive office chair is made from materials that typically last a long time (bonded leather, PVC, etc.). On top of that, the chair does come with a warranty – albeit not a very great one. Amazon claims to have a 1 year limited warranty attached to this piece of office furniture, and it’s not quite clear on what is under warranty and what isn’t.
It’s very typical for office chair warranties to only cover certain components and mechanisms of a chair. For example, many limited warranties only cover the pneumatic height adjustment function. Anything else that happens to said office chair is your responsibility. Anyways, like we said, the warranty is unclear on what is covered on this office chair. But for around 100 bucks, do you really need a big warranty policy? It’s not like this is a Herman Miller or anything.
